Radiation Sickness is characterized by nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headache, fatigue, shortness of breath, rapid heart rate, dry mouth, hair loss, persistent cough, chest pain, burning sensation in skin, darkening of skin scars and nipples, bleeding spots under the skin, anemia and sexual impotence. It refers to the symptoms that occur following radiation therapy for cancer or from accidental exposure to a radiation source.
