Pica is characterized by general weakness, headache, confusion, hypoglycemia, weight loss, abdominal pain and discomfort, red blood cell abnormalities and poor muscle coordination. It is an eating disorder observed as the eating of objects such as paint, plaster, dirt, ice, or laundry starch.
