Blepharitis is characterized by eyelid crusting, eyelash loss, ulcers on the eyelids, discharge from eyes, eye irritation and redness and eyelid redness and swelling. It is an inflammation of the edges of the eyelid observed as irritation, burning and crusty debris on the eyelash.
