Shock is characterized by cold hands and feet, fast weak pulse, confusion, disorientation, anxiety, clammy skin, shortness of breath, rapid breathing, difficulty urinating, paleness and low blood pressure. It occurs when blood pressure drops too low to maintain normal body functions.
