Pneumothorax is characterized by chest pain, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, rapid heart rate, bluish-white skin, fatigue, anxiety and abdominal pain and discomfort. It is a condition in which there is air outside of the lung leading to pressure which causes the lung to collapse.
