Depression is characterized by the feeling of fatigue, listlessness, insomnia, excessive sleeping, loss of interest, social isolation, appetite loss, eating disorders, loss of sex drive, constipation,  difficulty concentrating, crying bouts, intense feelings of guilt, difficulty making decisions, irritability and vague imagined pains. It a brain disorder characterized by persistently depressed mood or loss of interest in activities, causing significant impairment.
