Cystic Fibrosis is characterized by persistent cough, thick sticky foul smelling fatty stools, poor weight gain in children, frequent respiratory infections, sticky hard to cough up sputum, sweating and enlarged spleen. It is an inherited disease in which the pancreas and lungs fail to produce appropriate amounts of enzymes and mucus. |
