An allergy is characterized by itching, watery eyes, sneezing, nasal congestion and wheezing. It is an abnormal sensitivity to some foods, or airborne and chemical substances that can cause a pronounced antigenic response leading to swelling, itching or inflammation of the skin, eyes, nasal tissue and upper respiratory tract.
